The Opera Singer, America’s Got Talent Finalist & Golden Buzzer Winner Laura Bretan Will Be The Featured Artist At A Safe Haven’s 2016 Celestial Gala

(October 20, 2016) A Safe Haven Foundation is thrilled and proud to announce that Opera and Classical Singing Sensation, 2016 America’s Got Talent Finalist & Golden Buzzer Winner Laura Bretan will be the featured artist that will be performing at the 2016 A Safe Haven Celestial Gala, Making Dreams Come True 22nd Anniversary Black Tie Dinner Celebration and fundraiser. The event will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Drake Hotel in Oak Brook, Illinois from 7:00 -10:30 p.m. The event is open to supporters and guests. “I am absolutely delighted to have Laura Bretan and her family join us at our 2016 Celestial Gala. We were proud to honor Laura Bretan this summer with the “Voice of An Angel Award” for her years of service to helping the homeless at A Safe Haven. We met her three years ago when she debuted on our stage singing the National Anthem at our Music Revolution to End Homelessness alongside some of Chicago’s legendary artist. Since then, she has graciously and generously shared her ‘God given gift’ with us. She has supported every fundraiser and private holiday event that A Safe Haven has held to help the homeless. Everywhere she goes her awe-inspiring opera singing brings people to tears and to their feet, including Simon Cowell and the judges from AGT! It has been an incredible honor to be a part of her journey and as everyone can imagine with her new found fame, her dance card is full as she is being invited to perform for top private and celebrity audiences, around the world. ABOUT LAURA BRETAN
Laura Bretan, 14, is an Opera and Classical Singing Sensation from the Chicago area, who has won the coveted 2014 Top Dog Competition in NYC Apollo Theater, and the 2015 Chicago Bulls Kids Talent Competition and was the first contestant on the 2016 season of America’s Got Talent to receive the Golden Buzzer this season by show judge ‘Mel B’ Melanie Brown, former Spice Girl. Laura Bretan has also recently won the Romania’s Got Talent. She is also the first contestant ever to have won abroad and to also compete in America and finish as a top finalist. Since 2013, Laura has performed at various A Safe Haven events, most recently hitting the “Buzzer” to signal the start of the runners and the walkers at this years’ 5K RUN! To End Homelessness. This summer A Safe Haven presented her with a ‘Voice of An Angel’ award to recognize her for her years of song and service to helping the homeless at A Safe Haven. Laura Bretan, has recently also signed a recording contract with a major label.
