Leesa Sleep Donating 664 Mattresses
WHAT:
Leesa Sleep, the leading direct-to-consumer online mattress company, is donating 664 mattresses to A Safe Haven Foundation, marking Leesa’s biggest donation to date. The donation, with a retail value of over $150,000, is part of Leesa’s industry-leading social impact program, which includes the One-Ten initiative – donating 1 mattress for every 10 they sell. The One-Ten initiative has provided more than 8,000 mattresses to date to shelters and transition homes across the US.
A Safe Haven is a non-profit organization that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. A Safe Haven provides the tools for each individual to overcome the root causes of homelessness through a holistic and scalable model, helping to unite families, stabilize neighborhoods, and create vibrant, viable communities.
“On behalf of all our homeless residents at A Safe Haven, I would like to thank Leesa for their generous donation of new, warm, comfortable beds for our residents to lay their head and to sleep at night. At A Safe Haven, we believe in treating the homeless with dignity and respect. A major part of that is supplying them with the amenities and comforts of home in their time of crisis, that means providing them with a clean and comfortable bed and a safe place to sleep. Welcoming our homeless residents to a warm and safe environment and making sure their basic needs are met is the most important first step needed in helping them overcome the many issues that led to homelessness in the first place. The support of partners such as Leesa is crucial in the work we do, it truly helps us focus our time on serving as many people as possible. We are grateful for their generosity and we celebrate them for donating to such a worthy cause and for going above and beyond and doing their part to help us alleviate poverty and to break the cycle of homelessness for our families and veterans in need. Their thoughtful good deeds truly inspire all of us at A Safe Haven, and most of all they truly make a true difference in the lives of the people that we serve!” – Neli Vazquez Rowland, President of A Safe Haven Foundation
