Bears announce $103,000 grant for A Safe Haven Foundation as Community All-Pros winner

The Bears on Friday announced A Safe Haven Foundation as the 2022 Community All-Pros winner and recipient of a $103,000 grant. Founded in 1994, A Safe Haven’s mission is to help people ASPIRE. TRANSFORM. and SUSTAIN® their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. A Safe Haven Foundation provides the tools for each individual to overcome the root causes of homelessness through a holistic and scalable model. The grant money will be used for therapeutic counseling and suicide prevention for high-risk veterans.

Earlier this week, Bears offensive lineman Cody Whitehair surprised members of A Safe Haven Foundation with the news that their organization was chosen as the Community All-Pros $103,000 grant winner. Cody walked casually into a room where a group of A Safe Haven Foundation’s members thought they would be presenting their case to win the grant. Cody then introduced himself and shook hands with every member before announcing to the group that they had already won the grant. Without hesitation, all members burst with emotion and excitement. Cody stayed to share the exciting moment with them, taking pictures and presenting the $103,000 check. Click here to watch the video.
