Michael is recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” in Health and Administrative Law. He is a member of the selective Leading Lawyer Network. He has earned an “AV” PREEMINENT RATING (highest possible for both legal ability and ethics) from the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell National Lawyer Rating Peer Review Board.

Michael is currently in private practice. He is a former Asst. Illinois Attorney General and the Chief Prosecutor for the Illinois Dept. of Professional Regulation (IDPR), now known as the Illinois Dept. of Professional and Financial Regulation (IDFPR). He supervised the statewide enforcement of statutes/rules pertaining to 40+ diverse professional groups. He also served as a Technical Advisor to the IDPR Professional Licensing and Disciplinary Boards including the Medical / Health- Related Licensure Boards.

Michael’s current law practice includes legal counseling, litigation, professional licensure/revocation cases, hospital hearings, health law, professional malpractice and personal injury claims. Michael represents individuals, professionals, professional entities and businesses in all types of litigation, federal and state investigations and professional licensure revocation hearings.

In addition, Michael is the owner of a Professional Licensing Consulting Company where he and affiliated former prosecutors, investigators and professional licensing board members assist licensed professionals in their business, regulatory and IDFPR related matters.
