The Partnership is Committed To Promoting and Providing Valuable Giveaways To Registered Participants
(Chicago, IL) May 28, 2021—A Safe Haven (ASH), an internationally acclaimed top Chicago-based 501©3 nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness, is partnering with the Riot Fest Foundation and DoorDash to offer giveaway prizes for participants registering for the Second Annual Global Virtual Run / Walk to End Homelessness. The weeklong event will be held from Saturday, July 17 through Sunday, July 25.
Through this event, ASH is bringing awareness to the recent rise in homelessness numbers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Event proceeds will go towards homelessness prevention and help transform the lives of homeless individuals, helping them reach self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.
Created by music industry professionals and community leaders, The Riot Fest Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to better equipping its communities to sustain the presence of music and the arts and supports charitable and civic causes to effect positive change in its neighborhoods. Once again, The Riot Fest Foundation is committed to actively promoting the annual A Safe Haven Global Virtual RUN/WALK To End Homelessness among its fans on all social media networks and generously donating 50 three day passes to the SOLD-OUT Riot Fest 2021.
Participants will automatically be entered to win the giveaways when they register for any of the virtual races. DoorDash, an online food ordering and food delivery platform, is committed to actively promoting the virtual run/walk to all of its networks through its social media outlets and offering $100 Door Dash gift cards every Monday.
Additionally, registrants will also have a chance to win a copy of “Healing: Real Stories Told by Real People Who Have Overcome The Homeless and Opioid Epidemics” every Wednesday. The book is a newly released AMAZON #1 Best Seller! It is an anthology that features the powerful and detailed testimonials of 12 A Safe Haven alums who lived in the shadows of society, suffered and endured often decades of living in the depths of despair and homelessness caused from the devastating and debilitating effects of alcoholism, drug abuse, physical and emotional abuse. Today they are triumphant and inspiring stories of redemption and new found success. A great read for anyone who is looking to restore hope and inspiration that dreams do come true!
Riot Fest tickets will be given away every Friday. Winners of all the giveaway opportunities are to be announced on ASH’s social media channels Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays respectively until July 16.
When registering for the event, ASH invites participants to share the event online and with their communities. Doing so will uniquely allow participants to create teams and fundraising pages and share their race live with others. Races will be tracked through the Charge Running app, which will enable participants to choose their route and connect with runners from all over the world. All participants will also receive a race packet with a commemorative facemask neck gaiter and a super soft run t-shirt the week of June 21.
