Chicago, IL – February 2026 – A Safe Haven Foundation (ASHF) is honored to once again serve as the sole beneficiary of the Chicago Auto Show Food Drive, taking place February 11–13, 2026, at McCormick Place.
For three days, thousands of auto enthusiasts, families, and community members will come together to support Chicago’s largest canned food drive—helping ensure that neighbors facing food insecurity have reliable access to nutritious food.
Attendees who bring three cans of food will receive a $5 discount on a full-price adult ticket, transforming a day at the auto show into meaningful community impact.
Addressing Food Insecurity in Our Communities
Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge across Chicago, particularly in communities like North Lawndale, where access to full-service grocery stores is limited and many families navigate economic instability.
Through our Community Food Pantry and integrated program sites, A Safe Haven provides consistent access to healthy food for:
- Families working to regain stability
- Seniors on fixed incomes
- Veterans rebuilding their lives
- Youth and young adults pursuing education and employment
Every can donated during the Chicago Auto Show Food Drive directly supports neighbors in North Lawndale and surrounding communities—stocking shelves that families depend on year-round.
Located just five miles from McCormick Place, our pantry is more than a distribution point. It is part of a broader continuum that connects food access with housing stability, healthcare, workforce development, and long-term opportunity.
“We are deeply grateful to the Chicago Auto Show and its sponsors for standing with our community,” said Mark G. Mulroe, President of A Safe Haven Foundation. “This partnership helps us strengthen food access in North Lawndale and across Chicago. Every donation represents dignity, nourishment, and hope for families working toward stability.”
“Each year, we are inspired by the generosity of Chicago Auto Show attendees,” said Jennifer Morand, President of the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and General Manager of the Chicago Auto Show. “Knowing that every donation supports families in North Lawndale and surrounding neighborhoods makes this partnership especially meaningful. This is what community looks like.”
