Chicago, IL — July 9, 2025 — A Safe Haven Foundation is proud to participate in Hope for Homes Day—a statewide day of giving to raise critical funds and awareness to end homelessness across Illinois. On Thursday, July 17, supporters can join the movement by making a donation at www.asafehaven.org/hopeforhomes.

Thanks to the Jerome Stone Legacy Foundation, all gifts made to A Safe Haven up to $2,500 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, with opportunities for donors and fundraisers to unlock even more impact through a series of bonus challenges sponsored by Knight Impact Partners and The Chicago Community Trust. 

“More than 76,000 people experienced homelessness in Chicago last year,” said Angela Lathen, Director of Development at A Safe Haven Foundation. “On Hope for Homes Day, your donation can help double the impact and triple the hope—turning hardship into healing for veterans, families, youth, and individuals in crisis.” 

Bonus Boosts for Hope for Homes Day: 

• Rise and Give Match
  Thanks to Knight Impact Partners, the first $15,000 in donations made on July 17 will be matched dollar-for-dollar. 

• Peer Power Match
  The first 5 peer-to-peer fundraisers to raise $500 will unlock a $500 matching gift from The Chicago Community Trust. 

• Donor Dash Challenge
  The first 5 nonprofits to receive 20 donations of any amount will unlock a $1,000 matching gift from Knight Impact Partners. 

• Share to Win Challenge
  The first 3 organizations whose Hope for Homes Day post receives the most likes by 3 PM will unlock a $500 bonus from The Chicago Community Trust. A specific graphic will be provided; posts must include #HopeforHomesDay. 

• Fundraising Leaderboard Bonus
  The first 3 nonprofits to raise $10,000 will receive an additional $1,000 from The Chicago Community Trust. 

• Evening Impact Match
  All gifts made between 4 PM–6 PM will be matched up to $3,000 thanks to The Chicago Community Trust. 

All donations made on July 17 will support A Safe Haven Foundation’s life-changing programs—including transitional and supportive housing, workforce training, access to behavioral health care, and wraparound support services.
