Chicago, IL – Wednesday, December 30, 2015. A Safe Haven Foundation welcomes John Morales as the new Chief Financial Officer, who brings vast experience in managing and scaling health and human service organizations. Prior to joining A Safe Haven, Mr. Morales served as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director for Cook County Health and Hospital Systems, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital for over 10 years.
After an extensive and rigorous search Mr. John Morales was selected to replace retiring 15 year CFO, Mike Kirk. Mr. Morales possesses a unique blend and extensive knowledge in leading and managing both public and private financial operations, public policy, strategic investments and management teams.

Mr. Morales is welcomed by A Safe Haven executive leadership President Neli Vazquez Rowland; Chief Executive Officer, Brian Rowland; and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Mark Mulroe; and over two-hundred A Safe Haven staff members. Serving almost 5,000 individuals annually – 100,000 since organization inception, the A Safe Haven team is dedicated to helping the men, women and children transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency in a sustainable manner.
