Our Continuum of Care
“Today, ASHF is one of the most effective and innovative providers of recovery home services in the Midwest. ASHF’s fundamental goal is to help people who want to change their lives.”
-Stan Copeland, Chief Operating Officer
A Safe Haven Foundation (ASHF) at its core is a housing, education, and training provider that supports and empowers people to change their lives. Whether they have been homeless, abusing alcohol/drugs or find themselves in crisis…the Foundation was established for people who want to dramatically change their lives.
More recently, ASHF was invited by the Board of Directors of the Chicago Christian Industrial League (CCIL) to continue to carry out its mission. Since 1909, CCIL has helped thousands of families and individuals transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
ASHF is an evidenced-based recovery home model, lauded as one of the largest, most experienced, innovative providers of recovery management and supportive housing in America. This dynamic partnership allows our organization to deliver “Housing As Healthcare” to a broader spectrum of individuals while effectively addressing a wide-array of issues and providing long-term solutions so clients can lead fulfilling lives.
We at ASHF firmly believe that without a place to live, it is difficult to overcome any type of life crisis—whether homelessness, joblessness or drug/alcohol addiction—making our “Housing as Healthcare” philosophy the foundation our residents are reminded of throughout their journey to well-being and independence.
A Safe Haven Foundation offers a unique supportive housing and recovery environment for men, women, women with children, non-violent ex offenders, people with HIV/AIDS and Veterans who are committed to improving their lives. Our comprehensive programs are designed to support clients in their effort to achieve self-sufficiency and maintain a higher quality of life. These programs include, but are not limited to:
