The Services in Our Continuum of Care

A one-time model of our Continuum of Care. As A Safe Haven has evolved, so has our model.
"A Safe Haven offers outstanding housing and sobriety support services...top notch staff and attention to the needs of its customers." --Gateway Foundation
By utilizing an evidenced-based, continuum of care model, ASHF’s clients are each given the opportunity to change their lives, one day at a time, one step at a time until they are ready for full independence.
We attribute this success to two key factors: our evidenced-based model of providing affordable housing, treatment, education and remedial skill training, job training and job placement coupled with our unique Continuum of Housing and Care which provides clients with the personal attention to become healthy in a safe and supportive recovery living environment; combined with the time to find affordable housing, gain job skills, and develop interpersonal skills to sustain a
high quality of life.
Recovery involves a wide spectrum of services ranging from temporary shelter to permanent affordable housing, treatment and related services, education, life skills, family reunification, job training, and employment. Our Continuum of Housing and Care includes:
Each client is guided by their case manager to reach the goals set forth in their unique Continuum of Housing and Care plan- a personalized treatment plan that utilizes an array of services designed to help individuals initiate and sustain recovery. Once a case manager coordinates services, clients are taught how to implement the plan through instruction, coaching, and increasing self-awareness.
In order to ensure our clients, long-term recovery from homelessness and alcohol/drug abuse, clients are held accountable to their recovery plans which are adjusted to optimize on-going achievement. ASHF offers on-site treatment, mental health services and housing. Additional services include basic-needs, such as 12-Step meetings, child care, and medical care as well as technical job training. Core life skills are also offered including hygiene, grooming, punctuality, and meal preparation. Together, these skills increase a client's ability to stay off the street or stay sober , to find work; and, most importantly, to be productive members of society. Eventually, sober and transitional residences evolve into affordable housing opportunities. Through continued service and care, we can assist clients every step of the way on the road to independence.
