Background
“I was referred to A Safe Haven after my third stint in detox for alcoholism. When I was drinking and living on the streets, it was difficult to meet my most basic needs. Now I have a job and a place to live with my daughter. Safe Haven gave me the time and personal attention that I needed to become independent. No one has ever done that for me before.”

What sets A Safe Haven Foundation apart from other organizations is that we give people the time, resources, and personalized attention necessary to transition back into society, to find a permanent place to live, to reunite with family, to hold a job; and, ultimately, to lead fulfilling lives. Our evidenced-based model of recovery serves as the catalyst for our clients’ achievements. By offering a full-spectrum of care—and requiring our residents to be accountable to specific goals designed to enhance their success—we are able to rebuild lives, restore hope, and provide a continuum of care for individuals in need.
ASHF is an evidence-based recovery home model, lauded as one of the largest, most experienced, innovative providers of recovery management and supportive housing in America.
The Foundation has the infrastructure in place to mobilize individuals to sustain long-term recovery by providing the highest quality of care which is closely monitored by case managers. As experts in their field, case managers assertively link individuals and their families to their communities for sustained recovery from homelessness, alcoholism and drug abuse.
ASHF systematically evaluates and monitors the success of its services and clients in an attempt to continually elevate the scope, duration and quality of services. Our model has earned accolades on the local, state and, national level for its exemplary programs.
